Bazzara Espresso hosted a meeting of the representatives of the Custom Agencies of the ODYSSUD group

TRIESTE – In the context of cooperation between European Community Custom Agencies, the Odyssud group was formed: it includes the representatives of the Customs’ Agency of Marsaxlokk (Malta), Pireo (Grecia), Limassol (Cipro), Barcellona (Spagna), Marsiglia (Francia), Varna (Bulgaria), Constanta (Romania), Koper (Slovenia), Fiume (Croazia) and Trieste (Italia).
The group’s goal is to ensure a consistent level of control in the European Community. It gathers twice a year in Brussels in order to coordinate customs’ management policies.
Another meeting is organized in rotation in a port city within
the spatial scope of competence.
This year it was held on the 18th, 19th and 20th of April in Trieste. The port of Trieste is known as a European crucial joint for coffee importing and processing.
The meeting of April 2017 saw the Odyssud group as a most welcome guest at the Bazzara Academy located in Via Battisti 1: the group had a chance to analyze and study the new trends of the coffee sector. The Managing Director Franco Bazzara personally lead a tasting session of the traditional Italian Espresso.
The customs’ officials of the Odyssud Group and Trieste Customs thanked Bazzara for the professionalism and sympathy that characterized the fruitful meeting of April 18th.
Italy, renowned all over the world for its coffee culture, has the know-how to fill the gaps and it’s a pleasure to know that this project conceived by Franco and Mauro Bazzara, some of the main experts of the Italian coffee sector, will bring their editorial contribute to Russia. My hope is that the books are not a point of arrival, but the starting point of a coffee training journey that will include workshops, masterclasses and other educational initiatives about the coffee production system. I’m sure that the Russian edition of the Bazzara books will be extremely helpful to achieve this goal”.
The Bazzara brothers’ aim is to present the new books by October 2016 at the TriestEspresso Expo. Also the editorial partners of the Coffee Saga are enthusiastic about this project.
Increasing brand awareness throughout such an appealing market, with a product that will stand the test of time and promote the culture of espresso is indeed a unique opportunity.
